Jayna Edwards is an Arizona K-8 state-certified educator with a passion for meeting the educational needs of each individual child. With a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, including an Emphasis in Science, Jayna brings a robust academic foundation and a dedication to fostering growth in the classroom.
Over the past decade, Jayna has gained invaluable experience teaching in public school classrooms, working with students from kindergarten through 9th grade. Her time in traditional education gave her a deep understanding of the very diverse needs of learners, but it also sparked a desire to provide something much more personalized for them.
Motivated by her belief in mastery-based, individualized education, Jayna founded White Mountain Schoolhouse. In this intimate microschool setting, she can be there to support each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests—something she knows can only be achieved within a smaller class size.
Jayna is excited to guide her learners through hands-on, real-world learning experiences that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of discovery. Her mission is to create a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
At White Mountain Schoolhouse, Jayna combines her knowledge of age-level expectations with her dedication to content mastery at a student's own unique pace to create an environment where every student can not just survive, but thrive.
